Dr. Juliana Loming is an adult and perinatal psychiatrist. She currently holds a public consultant appointment at Centre for Women's Mental Health at Royal Women's Hospital. She consults in private practice at The Village Family Mental Health Specialists, Newport and Gertrude Street Clinic, Fitzroy.
Dr Loming provides care in the full spectrum of adult psychiatry, with a special interest in women’s health, in particular perinatal psychiatry. She sees women in the preconception period, those undergoing fertility treatment, as well sa women in pregnancy and in the post-partum period. Her work includes guidance in managing mental health during these periods, advice around medication during preconception, pregnancy and breastfeeding, adjustment to parenting, parent-infant attachment and relationship issues. Dr Loming values the care for individual patient, and believes in providing care in consultation with patients as well as providing support for issues regarding family and relationships.
Dr Loming is happy to consult inpatients from private maternity/antenatal wards and is accredited at Epworth Freemasons Hospital East Melbourne, St Vincent’s Private Hospital Fitzroy and Frances Perry Hospital.
Dr Loming completed a Bachelors of Medicine and Surgery, and completed her specialist medical training at The Alfred Hospital and Royal Melbourne Hospital. She completed her final advanced training at Mercy Werribee Mother Baby Unit and Royal Melbourne Eating Disorders Unit. She was awarded her Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists. She also completed her Master’s degree in Psychological Medicine from University of Melbourne.
